Scotswolds have received funding from the Smart & Connected Social Places fund (SCSP) as part of the Glasgow City Region Initiative. The project, named Healthy Homes, will examine properties in the West Dunbartonshire Council area by analyzing data from AICO sensors already installed in 1,000 homes, which measure carbon dioxide, temperature, and humidity. The initial phase of analysis will guide where additional sensors will be placed for phase 2, both inside and outside selected homes, to study the movement of pollutants from outdoors to indoors. This will help us understand the connection between outdoor and indoor air quality and how residents and the council can enhance indoor air quality and reduce the risk of black mould growth in homes. The project will create various tools to assist residents in taking proactive steps to decrease moisture and air pollutants in their homes, resulting in better health outcomes.
